Machine Program
Introduction:
The Machinery Program was opened in 2016 within the body of Bulent Ecevit University Alapli Vocational School of higher education in order to close the qualified intermediate staff gap in the organized industry and techno park regions between Eregli and Adapazarı in the Western Black Sea Region and to train Machine Technicians, and continues its education in line with the planned targets.
The purpose of the machine program is to use all kinds of machines, to design and manufacture (CAD-CAM), maintenance and repair of the machine parts that are the subject of production in the production areas related to them, to provide measurement and quality control, to have knowledge about hydraulic and pneumatic systems, It is to train intermediate manpower that will provide knowledge and skills in material recognition and inspection (destructive-non-destructive), drawing machine manufacturing technical drawings and processing them on the relevant benches using machining and non-chip manufacturing methods.
Education:
Department of Machinery and Metal Technologies, Machinery associate degree program, covers a 2-year education. He continues his education and training as a formal education. During 4 semesters, students have to complete 120 ECTS compulsory and elective courses and complete a 30-day summer internship.
In the 2019-2020 academic year, the general quota of the department is 30 students, and the number of foreign quotas for students coming from abroad is 10. Foreign students are subjected to the Turkish preparatory program for 1 year at the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Centre (Karaelmas TOMER). Starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, an optional English preparatory program is planned for those who are accepted to the program. According to the data of March 4, 2020, the total number of students enrolled in the program is 87, of which 21 are secondary school students and 1 is a foreign national.
Our students who graduate from our school are entitled to receive the "Associate Degree" with all their recognized powers. Program graduates work as technicians in private and public institutions. A machine technician is a qualified intermediate staff who works between mechanical engineers and technicians who has the knowledge and skills to work in the field of design, design, manufacture and installation of machinery equipment and in the production, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.
It aims to train students in the Machinery Program to have all kinds of knowledge and skills in the field of machine technology, as well as to have a full understanding of the profession not only in practice but also in terms of knowledge, by having a good command of basic manufacturing and design issues.
Students who successfully complete the machinery associate degree program can transfer vertically to the undergraduate programs determined by OSYM for this department, if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM. The Department of Machinery and Metal Technologies strives to train qualified intermediate staff together with all its teaching staff and technical personnel.
Students who are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by ÖSYM can be placed in one of the following engineering branches.
