PLACING INDOOR WASTE COLLECTION CONTAINERS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF ZERO WASTE IMPLEMENTATION
Units should establish waste collection points as indicated below by February.
- Waste collection points should be created by placing 4 zero wastes at one or more points, if necessary, side by side with a suitable waste container for other wastes, in each corridor in the buildings that individuals can easily see and reach. Battery collection boxes should also be added to several waste collection points.
- Waste collection boxes in compliance with the zero-waste regulation should be used at the waste collection points. Panels containing the colour scale in accordance with the zero waste regulation are procured and hung at the waste collection points.
- There should be no materials such as garbage cans outside the waste collection points.
WEIGHING AND COLLECTING THE WASTE CONTAINERS IN THE BUILDING
- When any of the waste containers at the waste collection points are full, the filled bag is weighed by the officer and the weighing result is reported to the building supervisor and recorded in the relevant table. The relevant tables can be accessed in the documents and forms section of the https://sifiratik.beun.edu.tr/ page.
- Since the temporary storage centre is under preparation, the collected wastes will be left in the relevant outdoor containers.
- After the temporary storage area is completed, a rearrangement will be made for the collected wastes.
An information file containing images of tables and collection points created in the building during the first week of February
should be sent to the sifiratik@beun.edu.tr address.
