DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND AUTOMATION

CONTROL AND AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

Introduction:

In 1994, Alapli Vocational School of higher education was established under the name of Control Systems Program under Technical Programs. With the updated version of the program, which was later changed to the Industrial Automation Program, training is carried out as the Control and Automation Technology Program under the Electronics and Automation Department.

The aim of the Control and Automation Technology Program is; With courses such as Basic Electrical and Electronics, Digital Electronics, Computer Usage and Applications, Instrumentation, Process Measurement, Electrical Machines and Control, English and Professional English, Automatic Control and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), SCADA, students learn from the simplest temperature control to robot technology. It is to introduce and teach innovations in all industrial fields, and to give the ability to manufacture, maintain and repair with their own hands. For this purpose, it aims to train qualified technical staff and managerial candidates who can apply their theoretical and practical knowledge in the industry.

Education:

Electronics and Automation Department, Control and Automation Technology associate degree program covers a 2-year education. He continues his education and training as a formal education. During 4 semesters, students have to complete 120 ECTS compulsory and elective courses and complete a 30-day summer internship.

In the 2019-2020 academic year, the general quota of the department is 20 students, and the number of foreign quotas for students coming from abroad is 10. Foreign students are subjected to the Turkish preparatory program for 1 year at the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Centre (Karaelmas TÖMER). Starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, an optional English preparatory program is planned for those who are accepted to the program. According to the data of March 4, 2020, the total number of students enrolled in the program is 91 and 15 of them are foreign nationals.

Our students who graduate from our school are entitled to receive the "Associate Degree" with all their recognized powers. Graduates of the program, as a technician, can take part in all business areas where process studies are carried out. They have knowledge in the fields of Electricity, Electronics, Automation and Computer. They are informed about the field instruments calibration connections. It can control and measure; they can command and control in continuous production lines. They can work on fault maintenance and operation issues. He acts as a technical intermediary between the Engineer and the Technician in private and public institutions.

Students who successfully complete the Control and Automation associate degree program can transfer vertically to the following undergraduate programs determined by ÖSYM for this department, when they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM.
