Business Management Program

Introduction:

In the Business Management program, he will play a role in the efficient execution of activities in public and private sector enterprises, the best use of resources and the realization of functions; Education is given to train professional staff equipped with sufficient managerial and organizational knowledge. Business Management associate degree program covers a 2-year education. During these 4 semesters, students have to complete the 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) courses specified in the curriculum and do their internship.

EDUCATION:

In the 2019-2020 academic year, the general quota of the department is 25 students, and the number of foreign quotas for students coming from abroad is 10. Foreign students are subjected to the Turkish preparatory program for 1 year at the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Centre (Karaelmas TÖMER). Starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, an optional English preparatory program is planned for those who are accepted to the program. According to the data of March 4, 2020, the total number of students enrolled in the program is 91 and 11 of them are foreign nationals.

Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an associate degree in Business Management. Graduates of the Business Management Program have the opportunity to work as assistant specialists, researchers, assistant auditors and assistant managers in the departments of marketing, finance, accounting, public relations, human resources and production planning in private and public sector enterprises in the business world.

REGISTRATION ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS

FOR TURKISH STUDENTS

Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Higher Education Institution (YOK), student admission to this program is made through the central examination system called OSYS. Students are placed in the relevant programs by the Assessment Selection and Placement Centre according to the scores they get from this exam after they notify their preferences for the program they want to study.

FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Foreign students can enter this program with internationally valid SAT I, ACT, GCE etc. Candidates who get a valid score from the Foreign Student Exam conducted by our university or universities in Turkey within the framework of the relevant guidelines are accepted.

FOR EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

Exchange students are accepted within the framework of bilateral agreements (Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana or General Academic Protocol) signed between BEU and partner university.

STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

Within the scope of Bulent Ecevit University student and academic staff exchange programs coordinator studies, our department students can also benefit from ERASMUS and MEVLANA exchange programs.

Recognition of prior learning:

Students studying at Bulent Ecevit University may be exempt from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the course taken at another institution is in accordance with the content of the course given at BEÜ and it is approved by the relevant faculty / institute directorate, the student may be exempted from this course.

Earned Degree Requirements and Rules:

In order to obtain an associate degree in Business Administration, students must successfully complete the internship with all of the compulsory and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) and obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Structure of the Program:

In the Business Management Program, he will play a role in the efficient execution of activities in public and private sector enterprises, the effective use of resources and the realization of functions; Educational activities are given to train professional staff who are adequately equipped in the field of Business Management. Management and Organization Department Business Management Program covers a 2-year education consisting of 4 semesters. During these 4 semesters, students have to complete the 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) courses specified in the curriculum and complete the summer internship, which is 30 working days.

Employment Opportunities for Graduates:

Graduates of the Business Management Program can find employment opportunities as intermediate staff in industrial and commercial enterprises in the fields of marketing, finance, accounting, banking, insurance, public relations, human resources in all businesses, including the private or public sector.

Upgrade:

Students who successfully complete their associate degree education can study in undergraduate programs provided that they get sufficient points from the DGS exam.

Our Mission:

By providing basic and applied training in the programs opened in line with the needs of the business world; is to train qualified professionals who constantly improve themselves, gain problem-solving skills and self-confidence, adhere to ethical values, are sensitive to the environment, have developed social aspects and will make a difference.

Administrative Staff:

Administrative/technical personnel are 2 people in total; It consists of 1 secretary and 1 floor attendant.

Infrastructure:

The physical infrastructure of the department is gathered in a single building. In the administrative part of the building, there are 5 offices for the teaching staff in addition to the department chair and secretariat rooms. In the education part of the building; For associate degree students, there are 2 classrooms (one for 50 students and one for 60 students) and 3 computer classrooms (each for 30 students).
