Accounting and Tax Applications Program
Introduction:
Our department is one of the important building blocks of the knowledge and experience that Alapli Vocational School has carried since 1976. In 1976, the Department of Economics-Administrative Programs, which started to operate within the Ereğli Vocational School affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, has also joined the Business Administration-Accounting Programs since the 1980-1981 academic year. It was later converted into two separate programs. In the 2000-2001 academic year, II. The Accounting Program, which started to carry out educational training, started to operate as the Accounting and Tax Applications Program with the new arrangement made since the 2009-2010 Academic Year. Since 2010, our department has been included in the Project for the Development of Human Resources through Vocational Education, financed by the European Union under the IPA 2006 Program (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance). Our department, which was reorganized in the 2010-2011 academic year, continues its activities in the 1st education as the Accounting and Tax Applications Department has been transformed into the Accounting and Tax Applications (IKMEP) Program.
Education:
Accounting and Tax Applications Department, Accounting and Tax Applications Associate Degree Program, covers a 2-year education. He continues his education and training as a formal education. During 4 semesters, students have to complete 120 ECTS compulsory and elective courses and complete a 30-day summer internship.
In the 2019-2020 academic year, the general quota of the department is 30 students, and the number of foreign quotas for students coming from abroad is 10. Foreign students are subjected to the Turkish preparatory program for 1 year at the Turkish Teaching Application and Research centre (Karaelmas TÖMER). Starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, an optional English preparatory program is planned for those who are accepted to the program. According to the data of 23 October 2020, the total number of students enrolled in the program is 66.
Our students who graduate from our school are entitled to receive the "Associate Degree" with all the recognized powers. The graduates of the program contribute to the management of public institutions and organizations in the fields of accounting, tax and finance, which are affiliated to a workplace as Accounting Professionals or who perform the profession of Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor on their own behalf.
Our students who successfully complete the Accounting and Tax Applications associate degree program can transfer vertically to the undergraduate programs determined by OSYM for this department when they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM.

Administrative Staff:
Administrative staff consists of 2 people in total; It consists of 1 secretary and 1 floor attendant.
Infrastructure:
The physical infrastructure of the department is gathered in a single building. In the administrative part of the building, there are 5 offices for the teaching staff in addition to the rooms of the department chair and the secretariat. In the education part of the building; For associate degree students, there are 2 classrooms (one for 50 students and one for 60 students) and 3 computer classrooms (each for 30 students).
Continuing Education Program:
The program can give short courses and seminars to employees of all sectors in business life. The courses and seminars that can be opened consist of the following topics:
